| Steinway to Fill Stanley Concert Hall Tonight with Rousing Concert 6/16/10 Tonight, Wednesday, June 16th at 7:30 PM in the Stanley Concert Hall, will be the kick off Supporters of the Performing Arts (SOPA) Benefit series for the Summer of 2010. The concert will feature Kevin Ahfat, Stacey Wheeler, and Brionne Wright on the Piano as well as clarinetist Ted Homan and soprano Maggie Manire. Tonight’s program will include the following works: Nocturne in C minor, Op. 48, No 1 by Chopin, Jeux d’eau by Ravel, Sonata in B-flat for Clarinet and Piano by Poulenc, Juliet’s Waltz, An Arietta from Romeo and Juliet by Gounod, Selections from Peer Gynt, Suite No. 1 for One Piano, Four hands; III Anitra’s Dance, IV In the Hall of the Mountain King by Greig, ‘Round Midnight by Thelonius Monk, Piano Sonata in E-Flat Major, HOB. XVI:52; Movement I Allegro by Haydn, Two Rhapsodies, Op. 79 No. 1 in B minor, No. 2 in G minor by Brahms, Piano Sonata in A minor, Op. 28, No. 3 by Prokofiev, and Paganini Etude No. 2 in E-Flat Major by Liszt. There is no admission charge for the concert, however a free-will offering will be made with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the new Performing Arts Center.
