Ars Nova Singers Benefit Concert Press Release: 11/26/07 Minimize

Ars Nova Singers Holiday Concert 12/20/07
at The Stanley to Benefit Estes Park Theater

Estes Park, CO -- November 26, 2007 – The Supporters of the Performing Arts (SOPA) will host a concert at 7:30PM on December 20, 2007, in the historic Concert Hall at the Stanley Hotel featuring the Ars Nova Singers of Boulder.

The performance will feature music for the season from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and today. The magical medieval carols and flawless style of this highly-acclaimed 30-plus-voice choral group in an acoustically excellent hall located in one of Colorado’s most beautiful mountain settings is destined to provide a memorable experience.

The Ars Nova Singers have established a Colorado holiday tradition with their concerts in the Denver/Boulder areas (see http://www.arsnovasingers.org for details.) And this year, they have graciously agreed to add this benefit concert in Estes Park to their venue.

The Stanley Concert Hall first opened in June of 1909, as part of the main hotel compound, and was restored in 2002. The building features high ceilings, a dramatic balcony, and large stage and was built to Mr. F.O. Stanley’s vision of a luxurious New England-style resort facility.

Tickets will not be required for admission, however, a free-will offering will be taken. All proceeds will directly benefit the Estes Park Performing Arts Center.
