Significant Progress Seen in
Performing Arts Center Fundraising

The theater scene in Estes Park goes back a very long way. The original settlers who graced this landscape were hungry for entertainment just as we are today. Each group who passed through has added to the richness of the performing arts.

The Native American Tribes with story telling and dance, early settlers with instruments to play song and dance music, small groups who gathered together to stage plays, some of them written here in Estes Park, have all contributed to what we call 'Theater'.

That enthusiasm is being carried on today with the contributions and donations being made toTheSupporters Of The Performing Arts Inc. to construct a new Performing Arts Center for Estes Park. Among those contributions are two new Matching Funds Grants created by Nancy Stevens and Vivian and Ron Gordon that total $20,000.00.

This is a great way for you to donate and double your contribution now! A variety of ways of supporting this project is being made available and new ones are being submitted by residents who want to help. One of the ways you can help may be to purchase an auditorium seat or seats being offered at $500.00 each which includes having your name engraved on a plaque placed on the arm. There are various elements of the building available for purchase of the naming rights and suggestions for several others are in the works. All of these methods of giving may help you in other ways in that they are all tax deductable within the limits of the law.

A new brochure with a list of the naming rights opportunities is available in a variety of locations around town including at the Visitors Center. If you would like to receive a copy call 970-481-6142 and make your request.

Please continue your support by joining the more than 200 individuals, families organizations and corporations who have contributed so far. Send checks to SOPA INC. P.O. Box 3077 - Estes Park - Colorado - 80517 or call 970-481-6142 for information on naming rights and other ways to participate...and THANK YOU to all who have done so already.
